Update Metaplex Core NFT Metadata

Edit a Metaplex Core asset: metadata, image, royalties, and plugins. This tool does not update Token Metadata or compressed NFTs.

What you can change

The form shows the Core fields it can write for that asset: name, metadata URI, image, royalties, and plugins the asset already uses or the form can add. If update authority is none, or immutable metadata is set, the chain will reject the edit.

Update authority

Sign with the wallet that is the Core update authority. Collection authority and asset authority are not always the same wallet. A failed simulation usually means the connected wallet is not that authority.

Which NFTs can this page update?
Metaplex Core assets only. Token Metadata NFTs, pNFTs, and compressed NFTs need a different update path. See the metadata guide for how those standards differ.
Who can update a Core NFT?
The wallet that holds the Core update authority. If the asset is immutable, metadata can no longer be changed.
What can I change?
Name, URI and metadata, royalties, and Core plugins that this tool loads for that asset. Fields the asset does not support are not shown as editable.
