Revoke Solana Token Authorities

Permanently revoke mint and/or freeze authority for tokens you control — a common step after launch to improve trust.

Mint authority

Mint authority can increase supply. Revoking it writes the mint authority to none. No wallet can mint more of that token afterward. Existing balances stay where they are.

Freeze authority

Freeze authority can freeze a token account so that balance cannot transfer. Revoking it stops future freezes on this mint. It does not thaw accounts that are already frozen, and it does not remove the tokens.

What this tool does not change

It does not revoke metadata update authority, and it does not make a token “safe.” Holder concentration, liquidity, and metadata can still be problems. Check the mint on the token safety page and in an explorer after the transaction confirms. Restoring a revoked mint or freeze authority is not possible.

The form accepts SPL Token and Token-2022 mints. You can revoke only an authority the connected wallet currently holds.

Revoke authorities — FAQ

What does mint authority control?
Mint authority can create more tokens of that mint. Revoking it means no more supply can be minted. It does not freeze existing balances or remove metadata.
What does freeze authority control?
Freeze authority can freeze token accounts so the holder cannot transfer that balance. Revoking it means this mint can no longer freeze accounts. It does not unfreeze accounts that are already frozen.
Does revoking authority make a token safe?
No. Revoking mint or freeze authority only removes those two controls. It does not audit liquidity, holder concentration, or metadata.
Can I restore an authority after revoking it?
No. SetAuthority to none is permanent for that authority. Confirm the mint address before you sign.
