This form creates a classic SPL token with Metaplex token metadata. Name, symbol, decimals, supply, image, and mint or freeze authority are the fields on the form. Token-2022 is a separate tool.

Create a Solana Token

Prefills to 9 (Solana standard). You can change it (0–9).
100 = 1%, 1000 = 10%. Usually 0 for fungibles.
Enter how many tokens you want in your wallet. Preview updates with decimals.
False = metadata locked forever (cannot update name, symbol, or URI).
False = fixed supply after this mint (cannot mint more later).
False = cannot freeze token accounts later.

Notice: 0.05 SOL platform contribution is included in this transaction. Network fees apply separately. This is important so we keep the platform up and running for you.

What an SPL token is

An SPL token is a mint account plus balances in token accounts. Decimals set how the raw amount is displayed (6 decimals means 1 token is 1,000,000 base units). Supply is minted to the destination in the form when you create it.

Authorities

Mint authority can create more supply later. Freeze authority can freeze token accounts. Leave them on only if you still need those controls. Revoking them later is permanent. Metadata update authority is separate and is handled on Update Classic Token, not by the revoke-mint form.

SPL Token vs Token-2022

This page uses the original token program. Token-2022 is a different program with its own extensions. If you need that program, open Create Token-2022. Do not describe a classic mint as Token-2022 after the fact.

After creation

You get a mint address. Holders need a token account for that mint before they can receive it. Network fees apply. The tool does not set a quoted SOL price.
